26 – 27 May | Feminist Table: Climate Change and the Food-Water-Energy Nexus

From May 26 to 27 the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) in partnership with The Society, Work and Development Institute (SWOP) and Stellenbosch University will be hosting a feminist table workshop on climate change and the food-water-energy nexus. The aim of the Feminist Table workshop is to explore different aspects of the climate crisis from a feminist perspective. It involves ‘dialogic learning’ in the sense of creating a shared and safe space in which women can share their experiences, deepen their understanding and develop their collective strength.

Feminist Responses to the Food Crisis

On 4-5 July 2014, participants were invited , by a partnership with the University of Stellenbosch, the Society, Work & Development Institute (SWOP) of the University of Witwatersrand and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, to a two day workshop on, to a two day workshop on “WOMEN AND THE FOOD CRISIS” consisting of inputs, discussions, plenary engagement, film viewing and small groups .
